Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of adults and young people applying knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal goals. Social-emotional learning in EdTech combines the use of technology and in-person interaction. In academic institutions, social-emotional learning initiatives aim to help develop students’ self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship, and decision-making skills. These skills can be taught and applied at various developmental stages from childhood to adulthood and across diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Click here to check out our virtual roundtable, which identified areas where there could be improvements in implementing SEL in schools.
